I joined Hollyfast Primary School in January 2022, and I appointed a Deputy Head Teacher, Miss Sarah Smalldon, in September 2022.  We are a new team who are passionate about driving the school forward to enable all children to:-

We are a three-form entry school for children aged 4-11 years.  We also have a Pre-School for aged 3 children.  We are based in the area of Coundon, Coventry.   Although big in size and numbers, Hollyfast has a real family feel.  We perceive this to be one of our strengths.  Staff and children feel a sense of belonging and are extremely supportive of each other.

I am incredibly proud of our school and community.  All staff work incredibly hard to provide an all-round education in a safe and caring environment and we look forward to being a part of your child’s learning journey.

Teaching and learning at Hollyfast brings subjects to life, both in the classroom, and through a variety of inspiring enrichment opportunities before, during and after the school day. Our bespoke curriculum and rich programme of extra-curricular activities contribute towards a well-rounded and relevant education, supported by excellent pastoral care. Learning at our school captivates, excites and challenges, leading all children to flourish. We seek to capture pupils’ interests, extend their knowledge and skills and raise their aspirations. We also encourage lots of child-led opportunities within school, inspiring them to be outward-facing courageous advocates- at home and at school. We have very high expectations in terms of both learning and behaviour and the children respond with enthusiasm, politeness and consideration for others. We value parental engagement and aim to work closely with parents and carers as well as forge productive links locally, nationally and around the globe.
