To support our topic of 'The Ancient Greeks', we are planning a 'Greek Day' on Thursday 2nd April. The children will participate in a variety of activities throughout the day, comprising of:
Team quiz
Greek Dancing
Making a Greek Salad
Food Tasting
We would like to provide the children with the opportunity to taste a range of Greek food such as, olives, feta cheese, dates, olive oil, pitta bread, honey, yoghurt and anything else we can find to be of Greek origin! As part of the experience we would also like to give the children the opportunity to make their own Greek Salad and we will therefore need to supply fresh vegetables on the day. In order to purchase the items needed we would like a donation of £1.50 per child, to be paid in advance. Please can donations be cash only and handed into the school office no later Wednesday 1st April.
The children will then be bringing their salads hometo enjoy with the family!
Children should bring in the following named items on the day:
A container with a lid
An apron
To add to the atmosphere and fun on the day it would be super if all of the children come to school dressed in Greek style clothing!
We look forward to sharing our 'Greek' experience with the children.
